I stand for the strange and lonely

I have no clue what I'm doing, but I like Frozen?

FROZEN/OUAT FANS

searlait:

So no-escape-from-the-storm-inside came up with a really cool idea today.

(Pun intended, yes, shut up.)

So one thing everyone pretty much agrees on is that Georgina Haig and Elizabeth Lail are pretty spot-on casting, right?

And they’re not there for long. And this is Elizabeth’s very first…

To answer a question I’ve gotten a couple of times - you don’t have to follow me (or even like me!) to submit. I’m just your friendly neighborhood gatherer. My ask box and submissions should be open to all, and I’ve got email set up just for this if you would prefer that. Physical mail’s fine after I confirm your age. If you’re having trouble or have questions, let me know. But you are certainly under no obligation to follow me in order to submit. This is a fandom project. I’m not “the fandom.” I’m a member of it. Just happen to be the organizer here. :)

Anonymous asked: Have you figured out who any of your anons are yet? We all want to know!

Nope! I’m not very good at guessing, and no time right now to do detective work. If anyone wants to reveal themselves - or offer a guess - they are welcome to do so. Until then, I’ll just enjoy it! :) (Frustrating as it sometimes can be, it’s my own fault for not trying harder to figure it out.)

And to anon and named - good night!

Anonymous asked: I ship you platonically with Anna (aka Rachel ;))

We make pretty good fake-sisters. Though I benefit a whole lot more!

She totally Annas me out of ridiculous funks on a regular basis. Even when “Eye of the Tiger” is necessary.

Quite the Anna. She’s the real thing, as far as I’m concerned. Anna as she currently lives and breathes. ♡

Georgina talks landing the role of “Elsa”

elsa-agdardottir:

“I was on my honeymoon on Magnetic Island when I got the audition,” she told AAP. “Obviously it’s a lot harder to organise putting down an audition when you’re on a remote island with your new husband.”

“But he very kindly agreed to play a princess and read with me.” When the first audition was well-received, the groom had to once again stand in the role of Princess Anna when the two were holidaying at Port Douglas. Thankfully, the effort paid off.

OMG, casting was done in an Elsanna way!

Wanted to follow up with a look at the full-size version of the new “Haig/Lail” version of the Shards banner.
searlait and I had been talking the last week or so about how due to the darker, more adult nature of A Dark Retelling and Shards, it was much easier and more appropriate to envision the characters as they are portrayed in live action (particularly Once Upon A Time) than as the animated movie versions. I thought the imagery of Elsa’s eyes in the original banner was really gripping, but the animation character never felt quite “right” to me the way the use of Georgina and Elizabeth does. Plus, as I think Emily wouldn’t mind me saying, Shards isn’t just an Elsa story, so adding Anna to the banner was a no-brainer.
Maybe I will do separate banners for each of the Shards books - these are the sorts of things I can bash out in an hour or so when I can’t write.
Now, if I can get the lungs to cooperate, wordsmithing on First Glimpse may resume tomorrow.

Filed under shardsverse yep totally agree it's a story of elsa AND anna and georgina and elizabeth are forefront in my mind as i write it actually makes envisioning scenes a little easier because they have less exaggerated expressions/mannerisms so i love this so much because they are my adr/shards elsa and anna always and forever elsa and anna

Actually, before I go… I should show this off. I can’t wait until tomorrow, sorry. (Plus, I may have something else to show everybody soon!)

vektorix continues to be the graphics master to end all graphics masters…

…And puts up with my Georgelsa obsession

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow, it begins.

I will definitely be contributing!!

Well, I’m definitely in…though I’m not sure what I can contribute. Regardless, I’m in.

There are no specifics as to what it should be - just whatever speaks to you, as a fan of them both. Words, art, whatever I can glue into a notebook.

Anonymous asked: Nope, no ma'am. You are NOT allowed to say that. You are so so smart and so capable of anything you set your mind to! DO you here me? You are going to rock this. Absolutely 100% rock this. I believe in you.

I wish I believed the world worked that way. ;)

Let me rephrase: I am smart. I know that. It’s never benefited me much, but I’m aware of it.

…But I may not be this kind of smart.

(Also, it’s a Skype interview, and that just makes me all kinds of nervous, too, because I don’t like the possibility of technical difficulties.)

But all that said…

(And the same to everyone else. I think I’m going to call it a night on computers, and go do some writing to try to keep myself calm.)
